Grass Mixes

Grass Pasture Mix – 25# / $59.95

  • Suitable for horses, beef cattle, and dry cows
  • Once established, it is extremely traffic tolerant
  • Seeding rate – 25lbs/acre
  • 35% Kentucky Bluegrass, 15% Alfalfa, 25% Perennial Ryegrass, 10% Orchardgrass, 15% Timothy

The Stockmaster Mix – 25# / $54.95

  • The top varieties combined in this grass mix are selected for vigorous growth, digestibility and persistence
  • Expect good production under less ideal conditions
  • Can be considered as a hayfield when established
  • Seeding rate – 25-30 lbs/acre
  • 45% Endyophyte-Free Tall Fescue, 20% Late Orchardgrass, 25% Perennial Ryegrass, 10% Festulolium

EMS Waterway Mix – 25# / $59.95

  • Suitable for ditches, abandoned roadways and field roads with waterways

Grasses

Fawn Tall Fescue – 50# / $84

  • Hard, sod-forming grass
  • Great for terraces, waterways, roadsides, feed lots and other areas where a coarse, vigorous sod is needed
  • Tolerant to intense animal grazing
  • Requires minimal maintenance
  • Endophyte-free

Tetraploid Perennial Ryegrass – 50# / $99

  • Produces a more open growth (less ground cover)
  • A high percentage of sugars in its forage
  • Highly digestible by animals and great for grazing
  • Large leaves, but fewer, larger tillers

Festulolium – 50# / $89

  • Derived from hybrids Italian ryegrass and meadow fescue
  • Has the winter hardiness and disease resistance of meadow fescue
  • High nutritive value and seaon-long productiviy
  • Seed at 15-20 lbs/acre in mixes or 25/30 lbs/acre alone

Smooth Bromegrass – 50# / $175

  • Extremely hardy, long-lived and a well adapted grass
  • Can be grazed and cut for hay or silage
  • Forms solid sod – suitable for roadways and waterways
  • Capable of higher yields under extreme heat and drought

Meadow Bromegrass – 50# / $139

  • Bunch like, long-lived perennial grass
  • No, or very little, rhizomes
  • Becomes ready for grazing 7-10 days before smooth brome grass
  • Productivity does not decline after several cuttings

Orchardgrass – 50# / $89

  • Moderately hardy, bunch-type grass
  • Regrows quickly and is commonly mixed with alfalfa
  • Performs well with smooth bromegrass and reed canarygrass

Late Orchardgrass- 50# / $99

  • A later maturing variety
  • Makes a more palatable forage when used for hay
  • Leafy and high quality with good summer production
  • Low lignin variety
  • Seed at 4-8 lbs/acre when seeded with legumes or 10-15 lbs/acre alone

Feast II Italian Ryegrass- 50# / $82.50

  • A perennial under the right conditions
  • Excellent spring, summer and fall productivity
  • Great seedling vigor
  • It is reccomended to plant only late maturing varieties

Kentucky Bluegrass – 50# / $89

  • Very hardy, sod-forming grass
  • Tolerates short grazing
  • Well adapted to cool temperatures and grows well in northern states
  • Most common pasture species in continually grazed pastures

Timothy – 50# / $98

  • Very hardy, bunch-type grass
  • Primarily mixed with red clover
  • Best adapted to cooler climates
  • Has good disease resistance
