Teff grass is an excellent annual forage grass that yields quite well and produces beautiful, fine-stemmed hay. Teff grass hay generally brings a premium when marketing to horse owners and at stables. Plant teff grass seed when soils temperatures are at or above 65 degrees and plant into a very firm seed bed at 1/4" or less.
