Description
The alfalfa plant is perennial, new growth rising each year from the crown. Stems reach to 3 feet, and 5 to 25 stems may rise from a single crown. Alfalfa hay is highly palatable and nutritious with very high digestible protein, mineral and vitamin contents. Alfalfa food plot seed makes a tremendous food plot. While requiring a little more maintenance than other food plots, alfalfa is an incredibly good draw to deer.

Worth It!
Planting and maintaining alfalfa food plots is expensive, but it is worth it! It seems to handle heavy browsing pressure very well. I will be purchasing again.
